The single most important thing you can do to keep your vehicle healthy is ensure
scheduled maintenance is performed on time. Ryland’s follows factory-prescribed
guidelines and uses only manufacturer-approved parts and materials. Our technicians
alert you to items that are wearing, so you can choose to repair them before they grow
into big problems. We get to know you and your car, and take care of both.
Repair
The first step of any repair is proper diagnosis, and the critical components of proper
diagnoses are experienced technicians and appropriate tools. Ryland’s has both. Indeed,
we have special tools for automobiles from a 1950s Porsche 356 to a current Audi A8.
This investment enables us to determine the problem before we begin repairs. Other shops
use trial-and-error. Not us. Ryland’s doesn’t charge for parts that don’t fix the
problem. We can repair your vehicle bumper-to-bumper.
Pre-Purchase Inspection
Before you buy a vehicle, let Ryland’s give it the once-over so you know what you’re
getting. In addition to our standard checklist, we know what to look for in each model,
so you’re not surprised later. We even perform road tests to check for odd motions,
sounds, and smells.
Computerized Parts Inventory & Tracking
Most customers don’t realize the importance of effective parts management. But they
appreciate it when their vehicles are repaired on time and with manufacturer-specified
parts. How do we do it?
Our computerized service system ensures we know what’s needed before we begin work, so
once our technicians start, they don't have to stop until the job is done.
Ryland’s maintains a large inventory, including hard-to-find parts.
If for some reason we don’t have all the required parts, we order online from the world’s
largest German parts supplier, which delivers up to five times daily to valued partners
such as Ryland’s.
All parts are inventoried and organized by manufacturer part numbers. This may seem minor,
but it minimizes miscommunications with suppliers and customers. This is the kind of
behind-the-scenes attention to detail that results in expert repairs, on time and within budget.
Race Preparation
While racing isn’t our focus, over the years many customers, recognizing the legendary
reliability of our engines, have asked us to build racecars for them. So we do it, and do
it well.
Ryland’s builds cars for amateur racers who compete in series such as PCA, NASA, and SCCA.
We specialize in endurance racing, and have had our share of success, including victories
in the 12 Hours of Homestead and the 13 Hours of VIR (Virginia International Raceway).
